Winter is not the time I usually think of drinking a smoothie, but when things get boring and I start thinking about cookies, a smoothie is a good alternative.
I chose blueberries as the fruit of choice in these winter smoothies. They are readily available in the frozen food section of most markets. They are less sweet than a strawberry smoothie might be, so you don't have to be as careful off-setting the sweet with a bitter vegetable, and blueberries are really good for our brain.
